Nostalgia Flip Christmas Card + Simple Quick Christmas Cards

My third project using the Authentique Nostalgia paper collection for Country Craft Creations was this fun, interactive Flip Christmas Card.  These are really easy to make so I didn't do a tutorial on it.  However, I'm happy to give the measurements and details so you can create one for yourself if you like.  These can really be any size. Below is what the flip part of the card looks like when the front section is flipped up.

The inside card part opens up like a regular card but with a pocket on the left side for a gift card or letter.

Here's the details on how I made mine, it's a 5"x7" card and I used Kraft Artisan cardstock from Country Craft Creations.  From the cardstock cut 1 piece 10" x 7" and score the 10" side in half at 5".  This makes the card base. I also cut a piece of cardstock 5"wide x 3 1/2" tall and glued into the inside of the card on the left side to create a flat pocket. (You add glue to the two 3 1/2" sides and across one 5" side for the bottom.  For the flip part on the front, cut from cardstock 1 piece 6 1/2" x 5" and score the 6 1/2" side at 1/2".  Decorative punch the 5" side opposite the 1/2" score for a lacy edge if desired. Attach this flap to the top of the front of the card.  Cut another piece of cardstock 3 1/2" x 5" and score the 3 1/2" side at 1/2" and attach to the bottom of the front of the card.  Glue this bottom flap down into a flat pocket by adding glue underneath on just the sides.  Add a magnet to the inside of the top flap.  Add patterned paper and decorate as desired.

I also added patterned paper and a twine bow to the back side as shown below.

Another look at the front of the card...

After I finished this card, I still had lots of the patterned paper leftover scraps from the collection to make 12 or more simple cards (A2 size) to send in the mail.

This is the last weekend in September! Wow! We are almost to the full swing of the holiday months.  If you haven't started on your own Christmas cards yet, I encourage you to start making a few now and then.  I was able to get about 30 or more done recently at a scrabooking retreat.

Happy Crafting!
Sandy
