Favorite Holiday? Halloween for Cards in Envy!
Hey everyone! It's time for a new card challenge over on Cards in Envy--a blog challenge for cards that are flat enough to be mailed. This challenge should be super, super easy for all card makers! The theme is....FAVORITE HOLIDAY. Yep, you can make a card for YOUR favorite holiday and it can be ANY holiday! Halloween (which is mine), Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day etc.
As usual, my card was quick and super simple to create. Here's what I used on mine:
- Neenah 110# Solar White Cardstock for the base (image and sentiment was stamped right on the base)
- Simon Says Stamps "Creepy Cute" Clear Stamp Set (the Jack-O-Lantern and the sentiment)
- Lawn Fawn Jet Black Premium Ink Pad
- Copic Markers
- Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard (for the extra sparkle on the pumpkin)
- Nuvo Crystal Glaze (again on the pumpkin)
- Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen (yep, for more sparkle on the pumpkin)
- Halloween Patterned Paper Prints from my stash (purchased from Simon Says Stamp and layered on to the card base and also used on the inside of the card to create a gift card holder and to cover the Copic bleed through you get when you color on the actual card base)
- Spider Stickers from my stash
- Art Glitter Designer Glue (to put it all together)
And that's my card for this Cards in Envy challenge. How about you? I hope you'll make a card or two to share for your favorite holiday. Oh yes, the other designers have some really great cards for inspiration on holidays. Be sure to check it out!
Happy Crafting!
