Simple Graphic 45 Numbers Card for Cards in Envy

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  Today starts our first Cards in Envy challenge for 2019.  But, there will only be three 2019 card challenges because after much consideration, we will be closing Cards in Envy in February.  Denise and I started the challenge blog 6 years ago.  Denise had to step down because of illness and then in 2014 she passed away. We will be ending the blog challenge with the first February 4th challenge which will be exactly 6 years from the date of our very first challenge.  We hope you can join us in creating and sharing cards for our last few challenges.

For the next 2 weeks, our challenge will be to create a card that's flat enough to go in an envelope for mailing and be "All About the Numbers."  That means you'll want your card to feature numbers such as a birthday, anniversary, new years etc.

I decided to create a really simple Graphic 45 card for this challenge. Usually with Graphic 45 you tend to add lots of ribbon, lace, vintage elements and flowers but with this one, I wanted it to be completely flat and created it using just some beautiful Graphic 45 papers from  my stash and Graphic 45 rubber stamps and inks.

Here's what I used to create this card:

  • Artisan Ivory Cardstock from Country Craft Creations
  • Graphic 45 papers from the "A Ladies Diary" Collection  (Garden Stroll & Focal Point)
  • Various Graphic 45 Rubber Stamps
  • Color Box Graphic 45 Decades Ink (that perfectly match the paper colors) in Venetian Lace, Robin's Egg & Photogenic Black
  • Art Glitter Designer Glue
This card is to celebrate 2019 and what that year will bring.

Thank you so much to all of you that have followed along with Cards in Envy.  There are lots of wonderful card challenges out there in blog land and I hope to find the time now and then to participate in some of them
