Simple Things
Hello and Happy First Day of Summer! Yes, it is official though we've been having "summer" for a good three weeks already. Today is the start of another 2 week challenge over on Digi Haven with a theme of Fun with Flowers sponsored by Floppy Latte. For my designer card, I chose this lovely flower that I call Forget me Nots. Now, I may be wrong but that's what they remind me of. I colored up the digi image for my card and for the charm with my Copic Markers.
Copic Coloring List:
- Flowers V12+V15+V17
- Leaves G40+G43+G46
- Background BG0000+BG000
This is a window card and I cut out the window with my Big Shot and a Dynamics Die. The flower image is actually on the inside of the card.
To create this card, I used papers by K & Co. from a Designer Mat Pad marked Ancestry.com. I added a Bo Bunny doily, punched the corners of the image with a Stampin' Up! decorative corner punch and added some Recollection lace to the front of the card. The charm is made with a base and acrylic piece I bought from an online auction. I colored another flower image and punched it out with a 1 inch circle punch and put it inside the charm holder, added some Glossy Accents and pressed the clear acrylic piece on to the image. After it dried, I tied it on to the card with some Offray purple satin ribbon. I also inked the edges of the window and the card with Old Paper Distress Ink. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Handwritten Notes, stamped with Memento Grape Jelly ink.
So, there it is. My Fun with Flowers cards for the Digi Haven challenge. I'm thrilled that it's Friday and I wish each of you "simple things...small joys." And be sure to head over to Digi Haven and participate in the challenge. It's easy. Create something using a digi flower image. Plus there's a prize from Floppy Latte!
Have a great day!
