Hooray for Patriotic Colors {Red, White & Blue} for a Patriotic PleaseChallenge!

Tomorrow, in the USA, we celebrate our country's Independence Day.  A day with lots of red, white & blue, fireworks, BBQ. watermelon, ice cream, boating and swimming.  In fact, we started celebrating over the weekend!  So it's only fitting that today the new Cards in Envy Card Challenge theme is "Patriotic Please."  The challenge description says to create a card with some red, white & blue. Of course it does NOT have to be a "patriotic" hero or military card (though you can make one if you want) and it doesn't have to be an Independence Day or Fourth of July card (but you could do that too if you want) OR you could do like I did and just create a card using those three colors.

Here's the recipe for my card:
  • White Cardstock

  • Red Cardstock

  • Wow! Acrylic Stamp Sets, "Just Saying" and "Hey Little Flower"

  • Memento Ink, Love Letter Red and Danube Blue

  • May Arts Red Jute String
I triple stamped the flowers on to the three different white cardstock layers and then matted them with the red cardstock. I love the triple stamping technique and don't do it enough.  The technique makes such a dramatic and unique card design.  If you don't know how to do it, just google Triple Stamping and you'll find several tutorial videos to help get you started.

I hope you'll join us over on Cards in Envy and show us your red, white & blue (card).

Happy Crafting and Happy Fourth of July!!
Sandy
