Graphic 45 Spring Sneak Peek Week! Imagine "Dream Album in a Box"

Hello, hello! I'm so excited to share this project that I created for the Graphic 45 Spring Sneak Peek week.  Last week a few of the Brand Ambassadors in the USA received sample papers of the new Imagine collection to create with!  We only had 4 or 5 days to get it done and I'm happy to say that I did finish mine with time to spare.

This is an 8x8 Album in a Box and I followed a couple of tutorials by Tamra Merrill of Country Craft Creations.  She has so many wonderful free tutorials for papercrafters and since I knew I'd be in a time crunch for this project, I asked her if it would be okay to use one of her tutorials for my Graphic 45 Sneak Peek project.  She loves Graphic 45 too and carries it in her online store so she said yes. You're going to love this album.  It's made out of cardstock and patterned paper.  No chipboard. That makes it really easy for you to cut and create. You do need a scor-board.   I would say that you can easily get the base of it with the pages done in an hour or so and then add your patterned paper and decorations.  I will share the tutorial links at the end of this post.

On the outside lid of my box, I added some beautiful Prima flowers I had in my stash and then I cut out gears and a lacy frame from brown cardstock using the new Graphic 45 die sets. If you haven't ordered yours yet, you really should. You'll find lots of uses for them from adding patterned paper to your G45 tags to creating embellishments and flowers.  There are three different sets and yes, you need them all!  To make the frame and gears look metallic, I heat embossed them with two different gold color tones of embossing powder.  Love how they turned out!

And if you love fussy cutting for your projects, you'll be in heaven with this collection. So many different images to cut out and layer like the man with wings flying across the scene and the little hot air balloon.

This box is the album.  There are many different styles and tutorials out there for similar boxes but I love how this one offers so many different options for pockets inside the lid or pages and different types of pages.  The side flaps are held closed with magnets but if you want to make it like an actual box lid, you can do that too.

It's really hard to show you all of the album in just photos, so I did a quick showcase video so you can see how all the pages open up.

This album is on the Graphic 45 blog today along with an Easel Frame by Pam also using this beautiful Steampunk style "Imagine" paper collections.  I'm told it should be available for purchase by the end of May.  I know that Country Craft Creations usually offers pre-orders so check it out and also Graphic 45 online shop.  Please visit the Graphic 45 blog and leave a comment over there for a chance to win this collection before you can buy it!

Oh yes! The links to the tutorials by Tamra for this box in an album style.  Please note, these are two different tutorials for the same album base with different pages.  You can pick and chose what pages you want in your album. Also, the tutorials feature different paper collections and not this new Imagine collection by Graphic 45:

I hope you're having a wonderful week with lots of time for creating.

Happy Crafting!
Sandy
