Red, White and Blue!
This week our card challenge over on Cards in Envy is "Red, White AND Blue." Which means we want to see cards that have those three colors! It won't be long until the Fourth of July and we are celebrating early!
For this card, I used white cardstock for the base and two pieces of patterned paper from the Fancy Pants 6x6 Nautical collection (red dotted and blue with white stars) to cut 1" squares and a mat out of the stars paper. I also used some red cardstock to mat the little squares. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Vintage Picnic collection and stamped with Stampin' Up! Real Red ink. I tied a bow at the top using blue with white dots sheer ribbon from Michael's (Dashes, Dots & Checks).
This is a very simple card and can be made quickly. You could even use this design for Fourth of July invitations and have the kids or grandkids help with the assembly.
I hope that you will get a chance to make a card for this challenge and link it to our Cards in Envy blog post. The challenge will run for 3 weeks (ending July 5th) which gives you plenty of time to make a card or two. Just remember, all cards for the Cards in Envy challenge must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing.
Happy Crafting!
