Brrrrr!! Put Some Extra Layers On!
Okay, so it's only really cool here in Texas in the early morning and the evening. I'm still enjoying short sleeves and flip flops during the day so not much in the way of extra layers of clothing for me BUT our current Cards in Envy challenge IS "Put Some Extra Layers On." That could mean extra layers of paper on your card or "extra layers" on your card images such as coats, sweaters, scarves etc. So....I created a card with BOTH! There are at least 7 or more layers on the card. And the cute little images have their scarves, hats and coats on. To create this card, I used white cardstock and red cardstock to build up layers and then I used the papers from a 6x6 Recollections "City Sidewalks" collection to make the patterned layers and for the images. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I stamped it with Stampin' Up! Real Red ink. I added glitter to the images with the clear Wink of Stella Brush pen. To finish it off, I tied green & white Baker's twine around the layers and tied a knot.
We'd love to see your extra layers on a card for this challenge. Check out the challenge blog post at Cards in Envy. This time we have a PRIZE for two lucky random winners from the qualified links for this challenge. This prize is from our own CIE Designer, Sherry, who writes and illustrates children's books and is a published author! We are so excited to have this prize to give as a thank you and "Christmas gift" to two of our challenge participants. I'm sure you'll love the prizes. Go check it out! www.cardsinenvy.blogspot.com. All cards for our challenge must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5" and flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing. You actually have THREE weeks this time to create up to three cards as this challenge doesn't end until December 6th!
Happy Crafting!
