Happy Summer!
Today is the first day of Summer on the calendar. It certainly felt like summer over the weekend as we were camping for our family reunion out at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. Even in the shade it was sweltering and the water at the swimming area was well....like lukewarm bath water. But we had loads of fun, cooled off in our air-conditioned campers (well, those of us that have that) when it was super, super hot, talked and talked, swam and enjoyed family time together. But I'm really tired!! Ha, ha.
I made this cute Happy Summer Flip Flop card last year? Or the year before? I found a pattern online for the flip flops and cut them out of this super cute paper, added punched flowers and rhinestones and embossed/inked the background. For us here in Texas it is definitely flip flop weather!
Today is the start of a new Cards in Envy card challenge over on the challenge blog. The theme is "It's a Great Day for a White Wedding" which mean wedding or anniversary cards. I did not have time to create a card for this challenge, but wanted you to know about it in for those of you who play along in the challenge or need to make a card for one of these occasions.
Happy Summer and Happy Crafting!
