The Fourth Fright Before Halloween 2014 - Spooky Altered Frame

Welcome back to my Fourth Fright Before Halloween 2014!  Today we're going to create a cute Halloween decor piece by using papers and ephemera to alter a photo frame!

First, you need a wooden photo frame that you want to alter.  If you're lucky like I was, you may have one that's already painted black and distressed a bit.  If not, find a small to medium size frame and paint it with acrylic black paint and sand the edges once it is dry to distress it.

Next, position your Halloween stickers, die cuts and ephemera that you want on your frame.  Have fun arranging them and once happy, glue them all in place.  Cut out a fun Halloween paper to fit in your frame or if you have a favorite Halloween photo, place it in your frame.

I had a lot of fun altering this frame and it is now displayed on my fireplace mantel with other fun, creepy Halloween decor!

Check back tomorrow for the Fifth Fright Before Halloween

Happy Crafting,
