Windmill at Sunset for "Picture Day"

I'm in the process of moving some of my photos from an inactive blog to this blog.  This photo was taken in 2008 when I first started shooting in "manual" with a digital camera.

I wanted  a photo of a windmill for a silhouette shot.  I waited for the right time while the sun was setting, positioned myself and my camera so the subject (the ornamental windmill in my front yard) was between me and the setting sun.  This is what I got.  I’m happy with it.  If you’ve never taken a silhouette photo, give it a try.  Here’s a tip…focus your camera on the sky to the right of the sun, recompose and take the shot.
